Abstrakt:
Early intervention is a service for infants and toddlers who have developmental difficulties. The professionals working in early intervention centers, are experts in early childhood development, work very closely with both the child and his or her parents and other caregivers. Early childhood development is in fact very dependent on the child’s environment. The competencies of professionals must therefore include developmental diagnostics at a very early stage, possible forms of intervention , as well as counseling parents. This presentation will show the possibilities to study early intervention in Germany and to work as an early interventionist in different fields.
